Think about it Sticky Sugar, Food on a Stick AND you get to play with FIRE!
But… alas… finding sticks in the wild can be a problem, dinner forks are too short, and wire hangers are a bit fiddley and the marshmallows FALL OFF of them (besides, not many people have them lying around in their camping supplies). What to do? What to do?
These Marshmallow Toasting Sticks and Marshmallow Roasting Forks make toasting your marshmallows breeze. They are specially designed to keep the marshmallows on, they long enough to keep you (and your child) safe, and many are color coded so there is no question about which one is yours.
Added bonus…. you can use them for hot dogs, and any other food that wants to be cooked on a stick
Take a set along on your next camping trip.
What Makes Marshmallow Roasting Sticks so Essential?
Two Prongs– Two prongs mean that the marshmallows won’t roll around on the end of the stick when they get warm.
Long Length– The Marshmallow Roasting Sticks are long enough to reach flames without getting your body in harms way.
Handles– Marshmallow roasting Forks have handles to make holding them much easier.
Telescoping– Some Marshmallow Roasting Sticks are telescoping…. this makes them easy to collapse and pack up
How To Roast a Marshmallow
Roasting Marshmallows is easy and fun…. just remember these simple steps….
1. You need a FIRE– A campfire, a fireplace, a firepit, a whole mess of candles….. (my kids have even roasted marshmallows over the kitchen on a bored rainy day)
2. You need MARSHMALLOWS– Marshmallows come in all shapes and sizes. I generally get the regular ones, but sometimes we get the extra LARGE (they are SO GOOD). The little ones are fine for cocoa.. don’t bother roasting them, unless you are having a campout with your dolls..
3. You need Marshmallow ROASTING STICKS– Marshmallow roasting sticks will insure that you are safe from the fire, and that your marshmallow won’t fall off (epic marshmallow fail…)
Got your supplies?
Insert the Roasting Stick into the Marshmallow…. hold the marshmallow around 5 or 6 inches above the flame. Rotate the stick to insure even heating.
The marshmallow will begin to brown… then blister… if left over the heat, it will spontaneously combust! (flames and blackened marshmallow)
When the marshmallow has reached the right level for you…. take it off of the heat.
